About

Welcome to Beacon Heath Church in Exeter!

The church is made up of people from all different backgrounds, and ages, who regularly gather to worship Jesus and hear God’s word faithfully preached. We believe the Bible can speak to our lives today and bring faith through the Holy Spirit’s regenerative work.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17)

We are committed to spreading the Gospel (good news) of salvation in Jesus Christ, as laid out in the Scriptures, which is the only hope for our world.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

Christians love God, and that love is to be extended to our neighbours as Jesus commanded

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

Because of this we gather each Sunday to give thanks to God in worship, and to hear the proclamation of His word that has power to transform lives and guide our lives. As a church we have various activities that serve the life of the church and the local community. We love to meet for meals which are good opportunities to get to know each other and we believe that everyone is valued being made in God’s image.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)

We strive to build one another up in the most holy faith as we seek to grow in our understanding of the Bible, encouraging fellow believers, helping one another practically, and supporting one another in times of need.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
