History
Beacon Heath Church was founded in 1961 when a group of Christians from Belmont Chapel in Exeter planted the church on the newly built Beacon Heath housing estate. We are a church committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, as taught in the Bible, which we believe is the only hope for our world.
We aim to proclaim Christ crucified, risen, ascended, and returning again to judge the living and the dead. Preaching and worship is central to the ministries of the church and sets the tone for the life of the church.
As a church we seek to be Biblical above all, for without the ‘truth’ we are merely a social club, while seeking to love people and to share the ‘good news’ at an appropriate time. (Proverbs 15:23, 2 Timothy 4:2)
As a church we put people before programs and activities as we strive to build one another up in our most holy faith. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
The current leadership of Beacon Heath Church comprises of three elders, one of whom is the full-time senior Pastor, Andy Bents.
